Rhode Island Women and Gender Expansive Skills Clinic

JOIN US! Rhode Island NEMBA is proud to present our Women and Gender Expansive Skills Clinic! This is a space for any women, trans, and nonbinary beginner mountain bikers to learn foundational skills to build confidence on the trails.

This Skills Clinic will cover mountain bike essentials, all while having a good time! You can expect: 

  • Equipment Check
  • Body Position
  • Braking
  • Shifting
  • Bike/Body separation
  • Climbing
  • Negotiating trail obstacles

Schedule:

  • 9:30 AM -10:00 AM Registration 
  • 10:00 AM -10:15 AM Introductions
  • 10:15 AM - 10:45: Bike Maintenance workshop
  • 10:45- 1:00 PM Skills & drills
  • 1 PM - 2:00 PM Bring a Bag Lunch
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Group Ride

NEMBA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on recreational trails advocacy with 33 Chapters throughout New England and over 8,000 members. Our goal is to promote the best that mountain biking has to offer, steward the trail systems where we recreate, and ensure access to open space.
