Topsham Pump Track Skills Sessions

Ever wonder about how to ride the beautiful pump track built by NEMBA Six Rivers in collaboration with the town of Topsham? Here’s your chance to learn the skills! Six Rivers NEMBA received a micro grant from the The Bicycle Coalition of Maine and we are excited to bring this workshop to you for free, although donations are always welcome.

Schedule:

  • 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM - Women and gender expansive
  • 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM - Adults, open 
  • 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM - Kids ages 7-12
  • 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Kids ages 13-17

Date & Time: Saturday August 5, 2023, 8 AM - 12 PM

Location: Pump Track at Topsham Ponds, Topsham, ME, 04086. Parking at: 97 Townsend Way, Topsham, ME 04086 (Townsend Lane at Transfer station.  Please stop at transfer station and ride into pump track. 

Registration & Check In: Check-in table will be at pump track.  Advance registration online required.

Lenora Felker

Lenora has been in cycling for over 20 years, accomplishing the position of a professional cyclist. Her position led her to racing in 2 world cups in Canada, the Tour de Suisse and the Olympic trials. Lenora has taken her racing background and paired it with her credentials as a health counselor, yoga teacher and artist and co-created Healthy kids, Happy Kids now known as the Youth Cycle Project. Lenora spends her time now with her daughter, 2 dogs, practicing yoga being outside riding, paddling, hiking and operating her empowering health and wellness practice.

Morgan Sawyer

Morgan graduated from Holderness school in 2018 where he was on the mountain bike team, the freestyle ski team, and the cycling team. Currently a student at Colby College and involved with the cycling club. He began his passion for cycling while riding cyclocross with HK2 on the junior development team and now races enduro. He is USA certified cycling coach and has been the Youth Cycle Project camp director for the last 4 years, after working with the Youth Cycle Project for the last 13 years.

NEMBA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on recreational trails advocacy with 33 Chapters throughout New England and over 8,000 members. Our goal is to promote the best that mountain biking has to offer, steward the trail systems where we recreate, and ensure access to open space.
